Guerilla Marketing – Graffiti, Shock Tactics

Attention Seeking
Like the example given earlier about the men’s magazine and the Houses of Parliament, could you pull off a publicity stunt that gets people talking about your business? Obviously, we would not expect you to go as far as the example given, but it should get you thinking for ideas.
Eco-friendly Graffiti
People are attracted to original ideas and recently, businesses have had the idea of using graffiti to advertise their business on pavement slabs and street walls.
Ok, it needs to look professional or it will look like an act of vandalism: permission from the local government is also recommended.
The graffiti (preferred to be known as ‘art’ by the respective business) is done by using biodegradable spray paints or chalks: be sure though as you will end up with a huge fine if it does not work.
Marketing Yourself
We mentioned in an earlier article that you can be your best marketing tool. Give the customers something to remember you by such as a friendly personality, being humorous, helpful, even a strong handshake. Be sure that you greet all customers and that you say goodbye: even if they don’ t m ake a purchase a t the time.
This may come down to your personality and Body Language in Business and so it is important you revise how you talk to, deal and liaise with customers. You will be surprised how much your personal reputation can affect your business.
Where is Your Competition?
Constantly be on the look out for what your competitors are up to on the marketing scene. If there are any untapped resources – use them before anyone else does. This way, people will see you as a leader instead of a follower.
