What is a Stakeholder Pension?
A stakeholder pension is a type of low-cost pension, designed to ensure that moderate earners have access to private pension provisions.

Launched by the Government in April 2001, stakeholder pensions are aimed at helping people provide better for their retirement. Stakeholder pensions are second pensions and are in addition to the basic state pension.

What is a Credit Record?
A credit record is, as the name suggests, a record of your credit. Whenever you take on credit, an entry is made in a file kept by a number of credit record companies. The status of your credit record is dependent on whether you maintain repayments within the agreed terms.

When a person has a bad credit record, they are considered a greater risk to lenders and will find it difficult to obtain mortgages, loans or credit.
