Have you ever paid PPI?
Around 90% of all loans, car finance, Hire Purchase, Credit and Store cards have had Payment Protection Insurance added, this insurance is supposed to cover you if you become sick or come out of work and can’t keep up the payments on the card or loan.
In the vast majority of situations you would never receive any benefit from this insurance and a claim can be made to get any premiums paid back.
It does not matter if a loan is live or not, nor does it matter if the papers have been lost we can still make the claim.
As the claims vary between £1000 and £30,000 and with the average claim being around £2500 and some exceeding the balance it’s definitely worth checking how much is due back. Our rule of thumb is this: “if you think you don’t have PPI, you do, if you think you have PPI you have lots…. This affects virtually e veryone with a credit or store card, even people who are very careful with their cards have a claim.
PPI can be applied to:
- All credit and store cards
- Mortgages
- Car/Van finance
- Secured loans
- Unsecured loans
You can claim if:
- You felt pressurised to take out the policy
- You didn’t know how much it really cost
- You thought it was included in the loan
- You received sick pay from work
- Your age meant you wouldn’t qualify
- Your employment status excluded you
- You had an existing policy
- You didn’t need it
- Your medical history excluded you
- You weren’t offered advice
- You were about to leave work
- You worried about being approved
